MEATLOAF
Majority of the time we make the inquiry about an animal if we feel like we can offer them the care they need and deserve. But in Meatloaf’s case, we got the call. Pug Nation reached out to us regarding an old man losing hope. Meatloaf was found on the streets early November 2023 with hind-end weakness, inability to completely relieve himself, unaltered and of course deaf and blind. He made his way to Pug Nation a month later but by the time February rolled around had almost given up all hope. We ran a quick fundraiser and 5 days later welcomed our Meaty Man to Boon. Oh, what a very sad gentleman who was so very lost and confused. He spent a lot of time snapping at us when we got close and quickly became a member of “ The Grumpy Old Men's Society”. The progress was slow to make him comfortable and not scared with every touch but he has made leaps and bounds with trust and has fallen head over heels with Kasey. He can tell instantly when she walks into a room and will not sleep unless he can feel her next to him. It’s incredible to witness the change in this sweet man.
