CHLOE
This special girl was another that was not on our radar when we walked through the doors of Pug Nation in December 2018. For the first few days after being relinquished, she was required to be isolated before joining Gen Pop. With three days left at Pug Nation, she was cleared and the iso door opened. That was all it took for Christine to know Chloe was coming home. This poor sweet girl was so stove up and arthritic that her walk resembled something like a toy soldier marching. We took her to the vet to see if we could get her on the plane home with us in 72 hours but she needed shots and a dental. We would have to wait until February to bring our girl home, and that is exactly what we did. For almost a year and a half, she brought us so much love and laughter, a true class clown doing ridiculous things. Early April the pressure behind Chloe’s left eye started to climb and after an appointment with the eye specialist, we learned she could have an injection in her eye that would essentially “kill the eye” and relieve her pain and the chance of it bursting. We picked her up after a successful eye operation, but she never truly recovered from the surgery itself… and 48 hours later we said goodbye.
