COSMO
Oh sweet Momo man! He came to us under a heartbreaking circumstance. As an owner relinquishment, he was a senior who had lost function in his back end, had a horrible mouth and teeth and was an expresser. The vet at animal services suggested humane euthanasia but thank goodness Pug Nation saw more in him!
There was a sweet old man named Elvis at the shelter who was living on borrowed time. While Deven was in the air on the way to Pug Nation to bring him home he passed away. There were some quick decisions to be made with a 24-hour turnaround and Cosmo fit the bill! Deven returned with the goofiest little man ever! He was with us for three more years, but not without worsening physical ailments. His front end also seized up and He had to be spoon-fed the last year, but you would never guess there was anything wrong. He loved his handful of stuffies, when he barked, his ears bounced up and down and you could always count on him to start a howl! In November, he started to decline and we moved him from palliative care to hospice. As always, if it’s a possibility, we always try to spend one last Christmas together, but Cosmo had a different plan, and on the 21st of December he passed away in Kasey’s arms after breakfast. You beat the odds and we got to love you for three years.
