FRIEDA
This beautiful girl was another that was not on our radar when we walked through the doors of Pug Nation in December 2018. We were there to pick up Tayva and only Tayva, but ended up adopting three. Originally she was a late-night drop at animal services, but was adopted soon after.. but returned (again) because she had shown aggression towards another dog in the home, and we just couldn’t see it. This very senior lady walked bowlegged up to Kasey who sat in the middle of pug heaven (or pen one) and simply crawled into her lap. That was it. We were convinced there wasn’t a mean bone in her body, and at the 9th hour, called the airline to book her ticket home. It was one of the best decisions we have ever made. She came to us with the same throaty whease that most do, and we started her on medication to help control it. This busy lady was always involved. If you were doing dishes, she was in the dishwasher, folding laundry she was knocking it over, unloading groceries, she was in the empty bags. She never seemed to slow down until the morning her trachea collapsed and made the decision for her. We took her in and said goodbye, thanking her for all the help we will so desperately miss now.
