OPHELIA
Ophelia was one of three leopard geckos that was rescued from someone who considered their deformities to be a “write-off”. Ophelia had very small eyes, which were placed a little further back than average, and her tail had a kink in it. These so-called deformities did not slow her down, or prevent her in any way from keeping up with her sister in their enclosure. She loved having lots of wood to explore, and would never miss out on the opportunity to cuddle in the coconut hut (her absolute favourite) with her sister. She went through a shed always, but soon after, started to decline. We brought her enclosure up to the dining room, where she could be monitored. As always, when a pet refuses to eat, the kitchen becomes a buffet, and multiple options at different times and temp are offered. Syringe feeding kept her going for a short time, but we ended up losing her for reasons we are not certain of.
